The opera Dido and Aeneas was set up in Narvik by Operkomiteen i Narvik (OIN) and Solhaugen Upper Secondary High School. The premiere was at 20:00 on the 14th of May 1991 at Folkets Hus, Narvik, with the second perfromance the next evening. There were also two shows for school children run at 13:00 on the 14th and 15th of May.
